Admissions and Financial Aid Information for Students with Hearing Loss

Admissions

Thanks to generous donations from foundations, corporations, and individuals, no child with a hearing loss has ever been denied admission to Tucker-Maxon for financial reasons.

Families interested in enrolling a child with hearing loss in any of our educational programs may contact the school secretary at 503-235-6551 or TTY 503-235-1711 to arrange a visit and learn more about our programs and services.

Students with hearing loss get services and support from a licensed teacher of the hearing impaired, an ASHA certified speech/language pathologist, and an ASHA certified audiologist.

Financial Aid

We provide the first 6 months of early intervention services at no cost to families. After 6 months, a sliding scale fee applies. Financial assistance is open to all families of children with hearing impairment, based on need.  No child with a hearing loss has ever been denied admission to Tucker-Maxon for financial reasons.

Financial assistance is made available from grants and donations designated to support children with hearing loss.  Aid is awarded based on financial need and compliance with the donor’s restrictions.
